About WARDOGS Fieldguide
WARDOGS Fieldguide is an independent fan guide published under the byline WARDOGS Fieldguide Editorial. It is not affiliated with BULKHEAD or Team17.

Who actually writes this
The editorial name is a site byline, not a named professional player or a claim of an independently staffed review team. Individual contributor biographies and launch-build test credentials are not published here. The contact address below is the route for questions and corrections.
Claims drawn from developer and publisher material carry source links. Community reports name their sources and stay labelled as unconfirmed until supporting evidence is available. Preparation suggestions are labeled as editorial advice. We do not claim hands-on testing or release-build experience for these source-based guides.
How we research
- Developer and publisher pages, announcements and patch notes are the first source for shipped features and changes.
- A capture supports only what it visibly shows. We record its source, date and build when available; official artwork is not a gameplay test.
- Community reports are labelled as unconfirmed until a developer note or repeatable test supports them.
How we review
- Numeric claims keep a visible source and applicable version.
- Editorial recommendations are separated from confirmed game information.
- Uncertain names, outdated build footage and conflicting reports are disclosed instead of silently resolved.
- Material corrections update both the page and its review date.
Verification and correction log
A source check is distinct from a game test. These entries record what changed and what remains to be verified.
Starting cash
Official source check · Steam re-read: $10,000 at journey start; later kits use the current balance.
Equipment prices and unlocks
Beta source review · Beta source links restored and records separated from current vendor prices. No launch-build price table verified.
Reload procedure
Community source review · Attributed beta walkthrough added. Current-build inventory recording still needed.
Tower-code model
Editorial correction · Four digits identified as a practice assumption. Current terminal length and capture conditions remain unverified.
How evidence grades work
- Publisher stated: attributed to official text, with its date and scope.
- Confirmed: directly legible in the cited evidence, limited to what it shows.
- Observed in a build: a dated build record; the source identifies whether it is a secondary report. It does not automatically mean we played that build.
- Inferred or unverified: an interpretation, recommendation or report still awaiting stronger evidence.
Page update dates track material edits. A source read date does not certify that a beta mechanic still works in the latest patch.
