The two prices, which is the thing to understand first
A sniper costs you twice. There is a one-off unlock — a Recon level plus a cash payment — and then there is the vendor price you pay every single life you take that rifle out. You start with $10,000. The Mosin’s reported unlock alone is $50,000, five full starting wallets, and after paying it the rifle still costs $4,500 a life. The AMR 50’s reported unlock is $200,000 and it is $8,800 a life on top. Sniping is the most expensive way to play this economy, and that is the part that is actually on record.
Every sniper and marksman rifle on record
Recorded in the Early Access Beta vendor roster on 9 September 2026, with unlock levels from a separate community report about the closed-beta track. A dash means no value has been recorded — not that it is free or unlocked from the start.

What the cheap end of that table is for
The two rifles with no recorded unlock and the lowest prices are the ones worth noticing if you are deciding what to spend on. Scout Rifle TD is $1,100 a life and chambered in 5.56x45mm, the same calibre as the assault rifles — so its ammunition is the ammunition you are already buying. SKS is $2,400 in 7.62x39mm. Whether either can do what an AMR 50 does is exactly the question nobody has published an answer to.
Where the unlock levels come from, and what they are not
One community guide, published 6 September 2026, describing the progression track as it stood in a condensed closed-beta build. That is the only public source for the Recon levels and the unlock cash, and the site that wrote it is describing a beta. Season 1 shipped progression and economy changes before Early Access opened, so treat these four rows as the shape of the track rather than the current numbers, and expect the levels to be the part that moved.
Nobody has published what these rifles do
Not damage, not muzzle velocity, not bullet drop, not zero distances, not penetration, not time-to-kill, and not whether any of them kills in one shot at any range. The most-asked question about WARDOGS snipers is whether they all have the same one-shot potential, and the honest answer today is that no published figure settles it. Sites that rank these rifles are ranking them on numbers that have not been released. Every one of those fields is a visibly empty column in our database instead, which is the whole point of the database.
What is officially known about shooting at range
Very little, and it is worth separating from the above. BULKHEAD has published the arena: a 256 km² map with a 2×2 km Control Zone randomised each match, so the engagement distances are whatever that geometry produces. A ghillie suit appears in the publisher’s own screenshots. Beyond that, the marksmanship model — sway, holds, ranging — has no official description, and the axes and sensitivity settings that would let you talk about it precisely are not documented either.
A sniper you cannot rebuy is a sniper you used once
The unlock is paid once; the vendor price is paid again every life. At $8,800, sixteen lives with an AMR 50 costs $140,800, less than the $200,000 unlock that bought the right to spend it — and you cannot work out whether that is affordable, because the other half of the sum is unpublished: no payout figure exists for any action that earns cash. That is why the cost-of-a-death calculator leaves earnings empty for you to fill in rather than seeding it with an average, and it is the honest way to price a sniper.
Common questions
What is the best sniper in WARDOGS?
Nobody can answer that from published data — no damage, drop or time-to-kill figures exist for any WARDOGS weapon. What is on record is price and calibre: Scout Rifle TD at $1,100 a life up to AMR 50 at $8,800, with the AMR 50 in .50 Cal.
How do you unlock the Mosin Nagant in WARDOGS?
A community guide published 6 September 2026 reports Recon level 10 plus $50,000 in cash, on a condensed closed-beta progression track. That is the only public source, it describes a beta, and Season 1 changed progression before launch.
How much does the AMR 50 cost in WARDOGS?
$8,800 per life in the beta vendor roster recorded 9 September 2026, with a reported unlock of Recon 35 plus $200,000. You start each run’s economy with $10,000, so one AMR 50 life is most of a starting wallet.
Do all WARDOGS snipers one-shot?
Unpublished. It is the most-asked question about them and there is no released damage figure for any weapon in the game, so any site telling you which rifles one-shot is telling you something it cannot know.
What is the cheapest WARDOGS sniper rifle?
Scout Rifle TD, at $1,100 a life in the recorded roster, with no unlock level on record. It is chambered in 5.56x45mm, so it shares ammunition with the assault rifles you are probably already buying.
What is the difference between a sniper and a marksman rifle in WARDOGS?
The vendor roster labels them as separate classes and that is all it establishes. The marksman rifles on record are SKS, SVD and BMR-308; the sniper rifles are Scout Rifle TD, Mosin Nagant, SV98, MK22 and AMR 50. What the classes do differently has not been published.
Sources & verification
Every row below is read off the graded rows in this site’s weapons database: the class, calibre and per-life price from a vendor roster recorded in the Early Access Beta build on 9 September 2026, and the unlock levels from a secondary community guide describing a condensed closed-beta progression track. Neither is a verified Early Access progression table, and no damage figure appears on this page because none has been published.
