Tac vests
A vest “does not give extra item storage”, in the game’s own words. What it buys is speed: quickslots to reach items in your pack without opening it, and faster reloads and equip times.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small Tac Vest | 5 and 6 | Minor increase | 0.82 kg | $100 | — |

Slings: the extra weapon slot
Three packs carry slings — the Medium Backpack + Sling and the Gunner one each, the Arsenal two. The files describe a sling as space “for additional Weapon / Spec Item”, which is how players carry a launcher or a second long gun alongside their primary. Two of the four $100,000 builds players have posted name the Arsenal with two slings; the other two do not name their pack.
What changed, and what is not known
BULKHEAD’s Season 1 changelog moved the “Large Backpack” from Career level 56 to 55; in the game files the Ruck Backpack’s internal name is largebackpack and it unlocks at WARDOG 55, so that is the pack it means. BULKHEAD has not published a carrying-weight limit or how weight affects movement, so the weights above are for comparing, not for working out a cap.
