Where the Vault is
On the main screen, look at the top right, where your level, cash and gold bars are shown. The Vault is the button sitting between the cash and the gold bars. Two creators show the same button: Forge during the closed beta on 3 September, and INSTIGATOR92 in the Early Access build on 14 September — who adds that it “really wasn’t explained anywhere”. Inside are two tabs, Items and Vehicles, laid out as a grid you arrange by hand: drag to move, R to rotate, drop one item on another to swap them.
How to use a Vault item in a match
You take Vault items at the same vendor you buy from. Open the weapon or gear vendor, go to the category the item belongs to, and press V — or tick the vault toggle, a small switch that looks like a vault door. The list then shows what you have stored, marked with a symbol, and you equip it instead of paying. Vehicles work the same way at the vehicle vendor: a Littlebird from Twitch Drops appears under Air with no charge, where buying one would cost thousands. Two Steam players describe the same toggle and key on 6 October.
The 6 October Steam thread describing the toggle →
- The unlock still applies. INSTIGATOR92’s stored RPG could not be taken until he reached Support level 5 — the Vault replaces the price, not the requirement.
- You only see stored items in the category they belong to, so a backpack shows under gear and a rifle under weapons.
What goes into the Vault
Two sources fill it, as far as players have shown. Twitch Drop rewards are delivered there once your WARDOGS and Twitch accounts are linked — which is why several creators title their Vault videos after Twitch Drops. And the Black Market, the shop on the main menu, puts what you buy there: on 6 October Steam players describe five bandages for $200 at the Black Market against $200 for one at the match vendor, waiting in the Vault until you take them. No video shows a way to move something you picked up in a match into the Vault.
How big the Vault is
Forge counted 180 slots for vehicles and 180 for equipment — in the closed beta, so the number may have changed. INSTIGATOR92 shows what look like purchasable extra slots, not yet enabled; Forge expected the count to grow. That matches BULKHEAD’s plan, which says the Vault “will be capped, but upgradeable permanently”. No price or method for an upgrade has been shown.
What BULKHEAD said the Vault would be
The studio’s only description is in its April 2026 “Early Access & Beyond” plan: “Every gold bar, item, weapon, or vehicle you obtain from the black market ends up in your personal vault and is redeemable for free in future matches. The size of your vault will be capped, but upgradeable permanently.” The same plan places the Vault beside a Gold Exchange, Player Skills, a Challenge System and the Black Market. No Steam announcement or patch note since launch mentions the Vault at all.
Gold bars and the Black Market are running too
The Vault arrived with the rest of the shop around it. Players trade cash for gold bars at a rate that moves — one creator on 2 October tracked it falling from nearly $3 million a bar to about $300,000 — and spend gold bars on cosmetics, including a gold AK the same creator shows as a limited-time offer. Player Skills and the Challenge System, the other two parts of BULKHEAD’s plan, have not been shown in any video found.
Does the Vault get wiped?
Not established. Season 02 is live, but BULKHEAD’s plan says only that a season’s end resets cash and XP and that gold bars and cosmetics stay on your account; it does not say what happens to Vault items. One Steam player wrote on 6 October that “the vault doesn’t get wiped” — a single claim with nothing behind it. Until an official source or reproducible evidence establishes the result, Vault carry-over remains unverified.
Common questions
Where is the vault in WARDOGS?
On the main screen, top right: the button between your cash and your gold bars. It opens the Vault with an Items tab and a Vehicles tab.
How do you use vault items in WARDOGS?
In a match, open the vendor, go to the item’s category and press V, or tick the vault toggle. Stored items are listed and can be equipped without paying, as long as you have reached the item’s unlock level.
How do you put things in your vault in WARDOGS?
By getting them outside a match: Twitch Drop rewards and Black Market purchases land there. No player has shown a way to move an item picked up in a match into the Vault.
Do Twitch drops go to the vault in WARDOGS?
Yes, according to several creators: once your accounts are linked, drop rewards appear in the Vault, including a Littlebird helicopter you can take free at the vehicle vendor.
Does the WARDOGS vault get wiped?
Not confirmed. BULKHEAD’s plan resets cash and XP at a season’s end and keeps gold bars and cosmetics, but says nothing about Vault items. Season 02 begins on 15 October 2026.
How big is the WARDOGS vault?
In the closed beta, a creator counted 180 slots for vehicles and 180 for equipment. BULKHEAD’s plan says the Vault is capped but can be upgraded permanently; no upgrade has been shown yet.

The mechanics come from two creator videos (3 and 14 September 2026, read from their captions) and a Steam thread of 6 October 2026. BULKHEAD’s only published description of the Vault is its April 2026 Early Access plan, quoted below. Nothing here was measured by this site.

That stuff persists between games.” One anonymous reply is thin evidence and is why the FAQ entry it supports says so in terms; it is cited because it is dated, on the game's own board, and the only public statement of any kind that the Vault shipped. | Unverified | 2026-09-19 |
