Patch 0.11: maintenance complete and server browsers

BULKHEAD announced imminent downtime at 07:53 UTC on 14 September and said servers were back up at 09:06 UTC. Patch 0.11 separates Official and Community browsers, adds persistent community-server IDs and text search, fixes cash exploits and addresses more GPU crashes.

01 / MAINTENANCE COMPLETE

BULKHEAD said servers were back up at 09:06 UTC

At 07:53:41 UTC on 14 September, @WARDOGS said downtime was imminent and that the team was taking servers down for approximately one hour to run maintenance and deliver an update. At 09:06:38 UTC, it said servers were back up after the short maintenance window. These are timestamped official notices, not a live probe or a guarantee of uninterrupted service afterward.

02 / SERVER BROWSER

Official and Community servers get separate browsers

The patch starts a community-server browser rework. These are the changes BULKHEAD says are included in Patch 0.11:

  • The front end splits Community and Official servers into separate browsers.
  • Official-server filters are removed because official modified modes are not currently available.
  • Community-server filtering is made more reliable and gains text search.
  • Community server IDs persist across map changes and restarts; each server receives a longer unique join ID.
  • Show Empty and Show Full controls are added to the browser quick bar.
  • The Host button now points to the intended location.
  • Server names sort alphabetically regardless of leading special characters or numbers, and consecutive spaces are disallowed.
03 / TEMPORARY ECONOMY BONUS

Community servers get a 5% end-of-match cash bonus

The delivered Patch 0.11 notes include a 5% End of Match cash bonus on community servers “for the next week” as an apology for the earlier browser experience. The announcement does not publish an exact start or expiry timestamp, and the recovery post does not show the bonus in the client, so this page does not turn that relative window into one. Check the current client before budgeting around the bonus.

04 / NOT IN THIS PATCH

Requested community features remain in development

The announcement explicitly calls the following features upcoming and not yet ready. They are not Patch 0.11 features:

  • Community-server favourites
  • Tiered priority queues for community servers
  • Message of the Day prompt
  • Improved warm-up activities
  • An option to disable AFK kicking during seeding
  • Team-switching controls
05 / FIXES & CAPACITY

Cash exploits, GPU crashes and Asia capacity

  • Various cash exploits are fixed; the announcement does not identify them.
  • More GPU crash paths are addressed; no hardware-specific list is published.
  • Server capacity in Asia has been increased; no region-by-region capacity figure is given.

These are published changes, not a claim that every exploit, crash or connection problem is resolved.

06 / ECONOMY ENFORCEMENT

BULKHEAD publishes penalties for economy abuse

  • Repeated abuse of cash exploits can lead to a timed ban and cash and XP reset to zero.
  • Content that teaches people how to abuse an economy exploit, instead of reporting it, is described as cheat advertising and can lead to a permanent ban.
  • Joining identified XP-farming servers for more than a few minutes can lead to a permanent ban.

The announcement distinguishes testing a discovery once or twice from repeating it for gain. It does not publish detection thresholds, a list of flagged servers or account-specific appeal outcomes. Permanent-ban appeal instructions remain on the official enforcement page.

07 / AUDIENCE CONTEXT

BULKHEAD says WARDOGS hit 400,000 peak concurrent users

This is the studio’s rounded published milestone. Valve’s current-player API later returned 425,674 at 19:27 UTC on 13 September, so 400,000 is not an exact ceiling. An intermittent snapshot does not establish the exact all-time peak, live server capacity, copies sold or completed matches.
